Ukraine has struck at least 23 Wildberries warehouses across Russia since mid-July, widening its campaign from oil refineries to the facilities of the e-commerce group co-founded by billionaire Tatyana Kim. Kyiv says Wildberries, which accounts for about 10 percent of all Russian retail sales, is a legitimate target because it provides goods to Russian soldiers; the attacks have killed nine workers and destroyed billions of dollars in merchandise. The strikes mark a new phase of the war in which a single private business is being targeted to increase disruption inside Russia and, Kyiv hopes, raise pressure on President Vladimir V. Putin to end the war. Kim, who built Wildberries into Russia's answer to Amazon and recently overcame a bitter dispute with her ex-husband that involved a deadly shooting near Red Square, called the strikes "terrorist attacks" and said the platform sells the same kind of goods as Amazon and Alibaba.
