Mongolia's annual inflation rate accelerated to 13.0% year-on-year in July 2026 from 12.0% in June, marking its highest reading since December 2022. The increase was driven by faster price gains across several categories, including food and non-alcoholic beverages, alcoholic beverages and tobacco, transport, clothing and footwear, furnishings and household equipment, health, recreation and culture, restaurants and hotels, and miscellaneous goods and services. Inflation eased slightly for housing and utilities, while communication, education, and insurance and financial services were unchanged. On a month-on-month basis, consumer prices rose 0.9% in July, slightly slower than the 1.0% increase in the previous month.
