Consumer inflation in the Czech Republic rose to 1.7% year-on-year in July 2026, confirming preliminary estimates and quickening from 1.5% in June. The pickup reflected faster price growth in housing and utilities, transport, furnishings and household maintenance, and health, while deflation in food and non-alcoholic beverages eased. At the same time, inflation slowed in alcoholic beverages and tobacco, recreation and culture, restaurants and accommodation, and information and communication, with education and personal care-related categories unchanged. On a monthly basis, consumer prices increased 0.6% in July after a 0.3% decline in June, marking the strongest monthly rise since March.
