Binance’s reported Bitcoin reserves have risen to about 667,500 BTC, the highest level in six months, after climbing from roughly 616,000 BTC in April, CryptoQuant data shared on Aug. 11 showed. The buildup has drawn attention because exchange reserves track how much Bitcoin is held on trading venues, where coins can become available for buying and selling, though higher balances alone do not confirm an impending sell-off. On-chain analyst Arab Chain said rising Bitcoin holdings on centralized exchanges can generally signal that more coins are available for trading, adding that the picture would become more meaningful if reserves keep increasing alongside weaker prices or broader exchange inflows. Separate on-chain data from Lookonchain highlighted 6,494.34685667 BTC moved through a wallet linked to Binance between July 19 and Aug. 8, with the amount valued at about $423 million at the time, but the transfers did not prove active selling or current control of the destination wallet by Binance. Bitcoin was trading at $63.427 at 22:57 IST, down about 1.5% on the day after falling below $64,000, while traders also watched the upcoming U.S. consumer price index report.
