Kazakhstan's certified miners and mining pools have produced 7,200 Bitcoin from the start of 2023 through May 2026, with output peaking at about 3,400 Bitcoin in 2024, according to data from the Ministry of Digital Development, Innovations and Aerospace Industry cited by bits.media. The country currently has 78 miners in operation and more than 465,000 registered mining devices. Miners paid about 35 billion tenge, or roughly $75 million, in taxes from 2023 to 2025, with most of that revenue coming from value-added tax on imported equipment. The sector is heavily concentrated in the capital: 81.5% of digital mining services are based in Astana, where the Astana International Financial Centre hosts offices of exchanges including Binance and Bybit. Kazakhstan has also eased one earlier requirement after President Tokayev signed a law removing the rule that forced miners to sell most of their mined output through exchanges at the Astana financial center.
