The S&P 500 climbed to a new all-time high above 7,815 on Thursday morning. At its intraday peak, the benchmark U.S. stock index was up more than 0.5%, taking its gain for the year to date to 13%. The move signals continued strength in U.S. equities as the index pushed to another record level.
