BitMart founder Sheldon said allegations made in a public accountability statement posted earlier through the exchange’s official X account were false and that he had completed evidence preservation on the material. He said he plans to file a police report during daytime hours in the United States and send a lawyer’s letter to X, seeking technical and data forensics related to the posts. Sheldon also said employee assets do not take priority over customer assets, adding that everyone is treated as a customer and that no special privileges exist. The comments followed public questions from BitMart employees over the destination of platform assets and how those assets were handled. Sheldon had previously said he would respond on the whereabouts of the platform’s assets by Aug. 19.
