President Donald Trump is expected to convene senior crypto, prediction-market and finance executives at the White House on Wednesday with CFTC (U.S. derivatives regulator) Chairman Michael Selig and SEC (U.S. securities regulator) Chairman Paul Atkins. Bloomberg said the meeting will come ahead of the CFTC Innovation Advisory Committee's first session the next day, when digital-asset and prediction-market regulation is on the agenda. ETF analyst Nate Geraci said executives from Nasdaq, NYSE, CME and DTCC are also expected, which he sees as a sign the administration may push ahead with its crypto agenda without waiting for Congress to pass comprehensive market-structure legislation. Bitwise CIO Matt Hougan said the mix of crypto exchanges and traditional market infrastructure suggests tokenization (turning assets into blockchain-based tokens) could be the main theme, as 24/7 trading and tokenized assets widen the potential market for DeFi (decentralized finance) infrastructure beyond crypto's roughly $2 trillion market. Hougan said Uniswap, Hyperliquid, Chainlink and Solana could benefit if blockchain applications expand into equity and bond markets, while Bitcoin could gain more broadly from a more crypto-friendly U.S. stance. He added that the industry still wants the CLARITY Act, but its outlook remains uncertain, with Polymarket odds near 20%.
