Nikkei 225 falls 3.16% as KOSPI plunges 5.8% on Aug. 19

The Nikkei 225 index fell 2,134.31 points, or 3.16%, to close at 65,326.42 on Aug. 19, Wednesday, according to Gate market data. South Korea’s KOSPI index dropped 398.66 points, or 5.8%, to 6,471.17. The figures show a broad decline across the two major Asian equity benchmarks.
