Hyundai Motor could lose about 2.6 trillion won ($1.86 billion) in sales and roughly 62,000 vehicles in cumulative production if union walkouts continue through next Tuesday. The union plans four-hour partial strikes on Wednesday and Thursday, an eight-hour full-scale strike on Friday—the first such walkout in 10 years—and further four-hour partial strikes next Monday and Tuesday. The labor action follows stalled wage negotiations and comes as Hyundai's worldwide sales fell 5.1% year on year to 318,454 vehicles in July, marking the 10th consecutive month of decline.
