XStocks added $17.3 million in market capitalization over the past seven days, making it the fastest-growing issuer in a tokenized equities market that has grown to roughly $2.8 billion. Ondo Finance was the next-strongest performer with $10 million of growth, followed by Superstate at $3.9 million and Robinhood at $3.3 million. Built by Backed Finance and now under Kraken parent company Payward, XStocks launched on Solana on June 30, 2025, with about 60 tokenized U.S. stocks and ETFs. Fourteen months later, it lists more than 700 assets, reports over $35 billion in cumulative transaction volume and has approximately 200,000 wallets. Its tokens are backed 1:1 by shares held in regulated custody, combining traditional brokerage-style backing with blockchain’s 24/7 availability and global reach. The platform excludes U.S. persons, a regulatory choice that sidesteps the SEC’s jurisdiction while targeting international users. Ondo Global Markets and Binance’s bStocks remain major competitors, with Ondo often leading in on-chain measures such as total value locked and decentralized exchange volume. Ondo, XStocks and bStocks together control roughly 77% of tokenized equities market capitalization. Despite its rapid growth, the sector’s $2.8 billion value remains small compared with the roughly $50 trillion U.S. stock market.
