JD Sports plunged 14.3% after weak second-quarter revenue and a lower profit outlook, while Novonesis surged 9.7% after beating expectations, raising guidance and announcing a share buyback. Analysts said oil above $90, high bond yields, fiscal concerns and potential European Central Bank rate hikes continue to weigh on equities, although STOXX 600 companies are expected to deliver 24.1% profit growth in the latest quarter, up from 23.4% a week earlier.
