ServiceNow, Vertex and Uber named as CNBC final trades

Rob Sechan, CEO of NewEdge Wealth, selected ServiceNow, Inc. as his final trade on CNBC’s "Halftime Report Final Trades," after ServiceNow announced an expanded multi-year partnership with Tech Mahindra to help enterprises move artificial-intelligence projects from pilot programs into full-scale production. Jim Lebenthal, partner and chief market strategist at Cerity Partners, chose Vertex Pharmaceuticals Incorporated, which reported second-quarter sales of $3.334 billion on Aug. 3, above the $3.232 billion analyst consensus, and raised its FY2026 sales guidance. Vertex earnings were $4.73 per share, matching consensus. Joshua Brown, co-founder and CEO of Ritholtz Wealth Management, recommended Uber Technologies, Inc., following Uber and Baidu Inc.’s launch of fully driverless Apollo Go robotaxis (autonomous vehicles operating without a human driver) on Uber’s platform in Dubai. New Horizon Luxury Transport will operate the fleet. ServiceNow shares gained 2% to close at $129.75, Vertex shares fell 2.1% to $540.26 and Uber shares rose 0.7% to $78.55 on Thursday.
