The XRP Ledger is nearing activation of version 3.3.0, with 62.5% of network nodes and 68.5% of validators running the latest release. At least 80% validator support is required before the upgrade can activate on the mainnet (the live blockchain network). Older nodes risk becoming amendment-blocked. The release reduces memory usage and improves node synchronization following the XRP Ledger 3.2.0 upgrade. The XRP Ledger Foundation also urged validators to complete voting on six amendments: Confidential Transfer, BatchV1_1, DynamicMPT, PermissionDelegationV1_1, Sponsor and fixCleanup3_3_0. Ripple voted for the fixCleanup amendment, which bundles fixes, and PermissionDelegation, which introduces an authorization delegation mechanism. XRP was trading at 1.46, up more than 2% on the day and 50% over the week, after moving between $1.45 and $1.54 in 24 hours. Trading volume fell 20% over the same period ahead of potential U.S. economic sanctions against Iran today. Spot XRP ETFs attracted $39.78 million in institutional inflows last week, while Goldman Sachs re-entered the products and became their top holder again. XRP futures open interest (the value of active futures contracts) rose almost 2% to $3.72 billion in 24 hours, including a 2.44% increase over four hours and a 0.22% increase in the last hour. Open interest rose 0.80% on CME and 0.03% on Binance, while Hyperliquid, OKX and Bybit also recorded increases.
