Pons (PONS), a non-custodial token launchpad (a platform for issuing and trading tokens without holding users’ assets), became August’s top cryptocurrency gainer, surging 1256.34% to $0.3354. Built on the Robinhood Chain developed by Robinhood Markets Inc. (NASDAQ:HOOD), PONS lets users create and trade fixed-supply tokens directly from their wallets. The token reached an all-time high of $0.3981 on Sunday after launching the previous week. Helium (HNT) ranked second with a 302.31% gain to $0.7379, while Bitway rose 258.08%, Stacks (STX), a Bitcoin Layer-2 token (a network built to process transactions alongside Bitcoin), gained 81.91%, and the Official Trump (TRUMP) memecoin climbed 67.15% to $2.38. Bitcoin and Ethereum also led the broader August rebound, rising 24% and 31%, respectively, as the total cryptocurrency market grew from $2.16 trillion to $2.64 trillion. Bitcoin reached $80,000 for the first time in more than three months.
