A fraudulent Grand Theft Auto VI website disguised as a fan countdown is targeting crypto users with a wallet drainer, malicious software designed to transfer digital assets. The site advertises supposed leaked copies of Rockstar Games’ game for $50 or 1 SOL, worth roughly $102 when Malwarebytes analyzed it, while mixing genuine promotional material with contradictory claims. One malicious component targets Solana wallets, and another can attack wallets on Ethereum, Polygon, BNB Smart Chain, Avalanche, Arbitrum, Base and Fantom. Malwarebytes had previously found fake GTA 6 early-access, demo and Extended Look pages. The latest site claims the game is coming to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, while Rockstar has not announced a PC version. Separately, blockchain analysis reported that an unidentified person linked to another GTA VI leak campaign moved roughly $350,000 from the CYBERLEEK crypto operation.
