Strategy CEO Phong Le said the company does not make decisions based on Bitcoin's specific price. The company did not buy Bitcoin during the past two months but strengthened its balance sheet, bringing total assets to $72 billion. That includes $65 billion in Bitcoin and $7 billion in dollar reserves, which increased 34% over the same period. Strategy also reduced net debt from about $7 billion to zero. Le said the stronger balance sheet increased Strategy's equity value and made selling MSTR, Strategy's stock ticker, to buy Bitcoin more profitable. After a two-month gap, Strategy resumed adding to its Bitcoin holdings last week.
