The RatingDog China General Services PMI rose to 51.4 in August 2026 from 50.4 in July, exceeding market forecasts of 50.6. July's reading had marked the weakest pace since September 2024. Despite the improvement, August remained the second-lowest reading in 14 months. Domestic demand provided most of the support, while foreign sales increased for a fourth consecutive month but at a more modest pace than in July.
