PONS, an altcoin (alternative cryptocurrency), has climbed nearly 1,300% in two weeks to a record of around $0.55, according to CMC. The token, which began trading in mid-July and is closely connected to Robinhood Chain, now has an approximately $395 million market capitalization, ranking it 98th among cryptocurrencies. Its latest advance likely followed Binance adding PONS to Binance Alpha, an early-stage token discovery section. The rally has prompted Crypto Tony to predict that PONS will soon reach a $1 billion market cap, while one trader’s earlier decision to sell nearly 8 million tokens at a $308,000 loss left holdings now worth more than $4 million. On September 3, CoinGecko ranked PONS as the most trending cryptocurrency, ahead of Arbitrum, Uniswap and Hyperliquid; Bitcoin and Ethereum were outside the top 10.
