Uniswap recorded its first daily token burn exceeding $1 million on September 4, destroying $1.15 million worth of UNI, or 184,000 tokens. Robinhood Chain accounted for 150,000 of those tokens as its decentralized exchange (DEX) volume surpassed $3 billion for the first time, with Uniswap handling as much as 98% of activity. The surge followed a late-July governance change that activated protocol fees on Uniswap v2 and v3 deployments on the network, with v4 fees approved separately. Robinhood Chain now supplies most of Uniswap’s recent fee and burn activity, although its trading history is only about two months old and volumes have fluctuated, with substantial activity linked to memecoins and launchpad tokens.
