The Ethereum Foundation has published the results of its review of 62 Ethereum Improvement Proposals (EIPs) under consideration for Hegotá, one of the next major upgrades to the Ethereum network. The assessment, titled "Hegotá EIP Opinion Compilation and Rating List," was produced by Protocol Cluster and marks its first unified EIP rating list for a single Ethereum upgrade. About 60 researchers, engineers and domain experts from nine Protocol Cluster teams took part, submitting 397 evaluation comments and discussing some controversial proposals in face-to-face meetings. A separate Ethereum Foundation study identified making the Ethereum Layer 1 network resilient to quantum computers by December 2029 as a key long-term protocol goal. The foundation said Hegotá’s scope reflects Protocol Cluster’s long-term technical commitments and priorities shared across its teams. The ratings are expected to inform which proposals are ultimately included in the upgrade. This is not investment advice.
