Snowflake reported fiscal second-quarter 2027 revenue of $1.55 billion, up 35.1% from a year earlier and above the $1.48 billion analyst forecast. Product revenue rose 37% to $1.49 billion, while adjusted earnings per share reached $0.62, exceeding the $0.45 consensus estimate by $0.17. Shares climbed 16.55% on September 3 after the results and have gained approximately 54% year-to-date. Management cited demand for artificial intelligence as a key growth driver, with AI-focused products contributing about half of the recent acceleration. Snowflake said its CoCo coding agent added more than 2,000 accounts during the quarter. The company raised its fiscal 2027 product-revenue outlook to $6.07 billion from $5.84 billion, prompting price-target increases from UBS, Citi, JPMorgan, TD Cowen, Truist, DA Davidson and Bank of America. Traditional analyst sentiment remains strongly positive, although AI-powered models recorded two Buy and four Hold recommendations. Snowflake posted a GAAP net loss (loss under standard accounting rules) of $191.7 million, narrower than the $297 million loss a year earlier, and lowered its fiscal 2027 gross-margin expectation to 74% because of rising AI infrastructure costs. Insider sales totaled 1,131,160 shares worth about $318 million in the previous quarter, while Saudi Central Bank increased its holdings. The stock opened Monday at $338.47, above its 52-week low of $118.30 but below its yearly high of $384.56.
