Rackspace Technology shares rose 5.23% in premarket trading Thursday after the company entered NVIDIA’s Cloud Partner Program and announced an infrastructure integration with Palantir Technologies. Rackspace, an enterprise AI infrastructure provider, launched the Institutional Sovereign Pod on Sept. 10, 2026. The governed AI architecture combines the NVIDIA Blackwell framework with Palantir Foundry and AIP in an environment operated by Rackspace, targeting regulated enterprises and government organizations that require data sovereignty and operational control for production workloads. The architecture can also incorporate the Sovereign AI supply chain solution announced Thursday by NVIDIA and Palantir. Rackspace will serve as the governed operator, integrating NVIDIA’s accelerated computing foundation and software with its managed operations and private cloud systems. Chief Executive Officer Gajen Kandiah said enterprise AI is becoming production infrastructure, making accountability for the complete system more important than simply supplying GPUs. Palantir Head of US Commercial Sameer Kirtane and NVIDIA Vice President of Global AI Clouds and Infrastructure Ecosystem Raj Mirpuri also emphasized controlled environments, secure deployment and production-scale AI. Rackspace said the combined NVIDIA computing, Palantir software and forward-deployed engineering capabilities are intended to speed the move from deployment to production while addressing data residency, governance, security and compliance. RXT was up 233.68% year to date, 129.79% over the past year and 62.00% over six months; it closed 0.31% higher at $3.24 on Wednesday.
