The U.S. 30-year Treasury yield climbed to 5.34% on Sept. 10, breaking above its Aug. 18 high and reaching its highest level since June 2007. Long-term Treasury prices came under further pressure amid continued increases in international oil prices and other factors, accelerating the rise in yields. Bond prices and yields generally move in opposite directions.
