U.S. stocks open lower as VIX jumps 12.21% and AI shares slide

U.S. stocks opened lower, with the Dow Jones Industrial Average down 0.49%, the S&P 500 falling 0.57% and the Nasdaq Composite losing 0.9%. The VIX (market volatility gauge) rose 12.21% as AI-related shares broadly declined, led by a 5.45% drop in CoreWeave. Tempus AI fell 4.35%, Arm declined 3.85%, Ambarella lost 3.71% and KLA dropped 3.63%. MSX, described as a major RWA (tokenized real-world assets) trading platform, has listed hundreds of RWA tokens tied to popular U.S. stocks and ETF products, including Nvidia, GOOGL, MSFT, AMZN, META, TSM and AMD.
