Energijos skirstymo operatorius (ESO) CEO Renaldas Radvila has resigned as work continues into its third week to repair the consequences of the record storm that hit Lithuania. The ESO Board accepted his resignation on September 10, with September 30, 2026, considered his final day. Audrius Ruseckas, Head of ESO’s Finance and Administration Service, will become interim CEO on October 1, 2026, to support operational continuity and the handover of responsibilities. The board has also agreed to immediately begin selecting a permanent successor. Radvila said he was taking responsibility for the company’s preparedness and response, while Ignitis Group CEO Darius Maikštėnas called for stronger network resilience, faster decisions and quicker implementation of changes.
