Vista Energy SAB de CV shares rose 6.34% to $79.30 on Thursday as West Texas Intermediate crude climbed 5.6% to settle near $101.43 a barrel and Brent rose 5.5% to roughly $106.78. Crude prices were supported by Saudi Arabia reporting a 1.9 million-barrel-a-day production decline to about 6.24 million barrels a day, as conflict between Washington and Tehran disrupted oil routes. Saudi Arabia’s reported supply-to-market figure, which includes oil taken from storage, reached approximately 7.12 million barrels a day. Separately, Iran-backed Houthi fighters seized Mokha in Yemen, raising concerns about shipping through the Bab el-Mandeb Strait. Higher oil prices coincided with a rise in government bond yields, with the 10-year note reaching 4.93%, while market-based odds of a Federal Reserve rate hike next week rose to roughly 70% from about 62% after hotter-than-expected wholesale-price data. President Donald Trump said oil prices could fall after the election, although futures pricing indicated traders expected the conflict to continue beyond then. Vista shares traded near their 52-week high of $81.43, according to Benzinga Pro.
