Norway and China held a business promotion event and cooperation seminar at Shougang Park in Beijing on September 9, alongside the 2026 China International Fair for Trade in Services (CIFTIS), where Norway is the Country of Honor. Co-hosted by the Commercial Section of the Norwegian Embassy in China and Innovation Norway, the event brought together government officials, financial institutions, business organizations and companies to discuss services trade, green transition, digital technology, maritime industries, aquaculture and healthcare. Six groups of China-Norway cooperation projects were signed in areas including financial services, trade promotion and regional cooperation. More than 10 Chinese and Norwegian enterprises and institutions also presented cooperation practices and opportunities. Speakers highlighted the countries' growing trade, investment and business ties, including Norway's seafood exports to China and longstanding maritime cooperation.
