Bitget will temporarily change leverage for certain CFD products around five U.S. economic data releases scheduled from Sept. 15 to Sept. 17, 2026, to manage potential volatility and support stable trading. The limits will apply from 15 minutes before each release until five minutes after it, with temporary leverage set at 1:200 for forex, 1:100 for oil, 1:100 for gold, 1:50 for silver, 1:100 for indices and 1:5 for commodities. The restrictions are automatically applied on every trading day during the designated periods. Any position change, including opening or closing positions or modifying take-profit and stop-loss orders, will trigger a recalculation of required margin for all positions using the temporary leverage and margin ratios. Bitget says users should ensure sufficient margin, assess position risk and manage positions in advance; leverage will automatically return to its original level after each period, with no further notice.
