Butler National Corporation reported first-quarter fiscal 2027 revenue of $30.8 million, up 53% from $20.1 million a year earlier. Operating income rose 59% to $7.4 million, net income increased 43% to $5.3 million, and diluted earnings per share rose to $0.08 from $0.06. Operating margin reached 24%, compared with 23% in the prior-year quarter. Aerospace Products revenue climbed 92% to $21.7 million, driven by aircraft modifications, Special Mission Electronics and modification-kit sales, while the segment maintained an operating margin of about 25%. Its backlog reached a record $51.1 million as of July 31, 2026. Professional Services revenue increased 3% to $9.0 million, helped by higher traditional casino spending but partly offset by lower sports-wagering revenue through DraftKings. The company repurchased 246,996 shares during the quarter. Interim Chief Executive Officer Adam Sefchick said growth reflected employee execution, strategic initiatives and operational efficiency. Executive Chairman Jeffrey Yowell said the board remains focused on stability and growth while searching for a permanent chief executive officer.
