The UK Financial Conduct Authority (FCA, the UK's financial conduct regulator) plans to develop a joint roadmap on financial asset tokenization with the Bank of England later this year after gathering industry feedback. The FCA received 123 submissions on wholesale tokenization, with most respondents identifying post-trade processes—particularly the transfer of collateral assets between counterparties—as the biggest opportunity. The roadmap is intended to establish specific target timelines for advancing tokenization across the UK's institutional and wholesale financial markets, Cointelegraph reported.
