Crown Castle said Sunit Patel will retire as executive vice president and chief financial officer on March 31, 2027, after the company files its 2026 Form 10-K. Kris Hinson, currently executive vice president and chief commercial officer, will become CFO on April 1, 2027. Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer Cathy Piche will step down from the COO role on Sept. 23, 2026, remain as a special advisor through Feb. 22, 2027, and then leave to pursue other endeavors. Crown Castle has begun searching for her successor. The company said Patel helped oversee its transition back to core telecom infrastructure after the sale of its fiber and small cell businesses, while Hinson brings experience across investor and customer-facing functions. Piche has spent 15 years at Crown Castle and currently serves as the Wireless Infrastructure Association’s Chair. Crown Castle owns, operates and leases approximately 40,000 cell towers across the U.S.
