Bitcoin, Ethereum and XRP traded in narrow ranges Wednesday as investors awaited the Federal Open Market Committee (FOMC), the Federal Reserve’s monetary-policy panel, statement scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Eastern Time on September 16, 2026. The two-day meeting on September 15–16 will also include a 2:30 p.m. press conference and the quarterly Summary of Economic Projections. The federal funds target range remains 3½ to 3¾%, unchanged since the Committee’s 9–3 vote at its July 28–29, 2026, meeting. Markets are watching both the rate decision and the projections for any change in the expected policy path, while official documents have not previewed the outcome. As of 12:30 p.m. UTC, Bitcoin was $75,910, down $182, or 0.24%, from the previous close, while Ether was near $2,400 and XRP was $1.2875, down 0.47%. The prices were market observations and were not addressed by Federal Reserve communications.
