Bitcoin’s Bull Score Index, a gauge of bullish and bearish momentum, has fallen below 40 and entered bearish territory as the U.S. Federal Reserve decided on its first benchmark rate hike since 2023, AMB Crypto reported. Although market participants had largely expected the increase, the prospect of additional hikes this year and the question of whether quantitative tightening (central banks reducing liquidity) resumes have created new uncertainties. The report said persistently high inflation and oil prices could tighten liquidity further, increasing selling pressure on BTC and altcoins. AMB Crypto said Bitcoin could remain vulnerable to additional losses in the coming weeks, suggesting the crypto market may not yet have formed a bottom.
