Ethereum turned technically bullish after ETH broke above its $2,550-$2,575 resistance zone on September 20 and successfully retested the area as support. ETH traded at $2,637.24, up 0.41% over 24 hours and 4.60% over seven days, with roughly $11.4 billion in trading volume, according to CoinGecko market data. Market participants are watching $2,760 as the next target, while other forecasts point to $3,000, $3,500 by the end of October, or new all-time highs by year-end. Ethereum's third-quarter price gains rank as its second-best quarter on record, supported by technical breakouts, rising DeFi activity, and more than $10 billion in institutional ETF inflows. On-chain analyst Darkfost said ETH climbed from $1,510 to $2,650 in three months, a gain of more than 75%, clearing April's high and breaking the prevailing trend. Binance's monthly average of ETH withdrawal transactions surpassed 90,000, double the level at the start of the year and the highest since 2023. Such withdrawals are often associated with investors moving assets into private custody for medium- to long-term holding. Darkfost said Ethereum's trend is currently stronger than Bitcoin's, which has not yet established itself durably above its May high.
