OKX moved 110,779,994,032 Shiba Inu tokens from its cold wallet to its hot wallet at 03:09 UTC today, according to Arkham data. The tokens were worth roughly $615,000 at the current price. Exchanges commonly move assets from cold storage to hot wallets (online wallets for transactions) to support activities such as customer withdrawals, so the transfer could reflect preparations for additional SHIB liquidity, although it does not establish that users are withdrawing tokens. OKX’s hot wallet received several SHIB transfers over the past day, including 12.68 billion tokens, then sent 20.59 billion SHIB to another OKX hot wallet and transferred 116.56 million and 3.33 million SHIB to two separate unlabeled addresses. It still held approximately 205.68 billion SHIB. Etherscan data identifies OKX’s cold wallet as the 10th-largest known SHIB-holding address, with approximately 6.70 trillion tokens, making the latest transfer a small portion of the exchange’s overall holdings. SHIB gained 3.92% over 24 hours, moved above $0.0000055 and traded at $0.00000563 at press time. Exchange data showed 242.46 billion SHIB entering trading platforms and 105.4564 billion leaving them, producing a net inflow of roughly 137.008 billion tokens and lifting exchange-held balances to approximately 87.5594 trillion SHIB. The transactions show increased token movement across platforms but do not determine whether holders intend to sell, withdraw or otherwise move their assets.
