Avalanche’s Helicon update is scheduled to activate on the mainnet on September 22, 2026, at 6:00 PM Turkish time, following its deployment on the Fuji testnet on July 28. The upgrade will implement six Avalanche Community Proposals, including a continuous execution system for C-Chain, automatically renewing staking, a dynamic minimum gas fee and a shorter minimum staking duration. It will also raise the expected uptime requirement for validators and modify the staking reward curve. ACP-285, which changes the reward system, will be introduced gradually after Helicon goes live. Continuous execution is designed to improve C-Chain’s transaction capacity by allowing transactions to be prepared during idle periods between blocks, while the dynamic minimum gas price will adjust the fee floor according to network demand. Mainnet validators must upgrade to AvalancheGo v1.15.0 before the hard fork or risk not functioning properly after activation. The update is not investment advice.
