Shares of automakers linked to Harmony Intelligent Mobility’s four other brands rose sharply on Sept. 22, about a week after the company announced its AITO partnership model restructuring. JAC Motors reached its daily limit-up, while BAIC BluePark and SAIC Motor also advanced and Chery Automobile’s Hong Kong-listed shares gained more than 1% intraday. Market attention has shifted to Stelato (JAC), Stelato (BAIC), Luxeed (Chery) and Shangjie (SAIC), with industry expectations that Harmony Intelligent Mobility will concentrate resources and accelerate development of the four brands. BAIC BluePark said Stelato remains a premium luxury brand jointly developed with Huawei, and that its partnership has evolved since the S9T launch into an automaker-plus-Huawei technology ecosystem alliance without changing its positioning or model. Its dedicated Stelato network is being built under the same unified management system as other Harmony Intelligent Mobility channels. JAC Group Chairman Xiang Xingchu also reaffirmed cooperation with Huawei. A reported meeting between Huawei Executive Director, Chairman of the Product Investment Review Committee, and Terminal BG Chairman Richard Yu and Chery Automobile Chairman Yin Tongyue was viewed by the industry as another positive signal, although neither company officially commented. The four brands retain the full Huawei Smart Selection model, but an industry insider said the rally’s durability will depend on deliveries and profitability rather than partnership statements. The Sept. 28 Harmony Intelligent Mobility event will feature the Luxeed RX’s official launch and the Stelato V8’s opening of pre-orders, making pricing and order data important tests of the strategy after the AITO restructuring. Analysts caution that long-term success will depend on sales, user feedback and profitability, not short-term share-price gains.
