Boeing and Turkish Airlines announced an order for up to 150 737 MAX airplanes, concluding discussions that began in 2025. The airline will buy 100 737-8 aircraft and holds options for 50 additional jets, making it Turkish Airlines' largest Boeing single-aisle order. The agreement, finalized in the presence of His Excellency Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, president of the Republic of Türkiye, includes substitution rights for the larger 737-10. Turkish Airlines said the aircraft will support its Istanbul-based short- and medium-haul network through greater efficiency and operational flexibility. The purchase follows the carrier's 2025 order for up to 75 787 Dreamliners and includes industrial participation supporting Türkiye's aviation ecosystem.
