Bitget is reinforcing its security framework after a recent security incident by requiring independent verification for every withdrawal request. The crypto exchange also overhauled access rights for highly sensitive systems and introduced multi-approval procedures for core operations. It plans to temporarily suspend external security functions related to the incident until recovery work is complete. Bitget said it discarded all existing credentials used in its internal systems and issued new ones. Wu Blockchain reported the measures on September 28.
