Pi Network’s Core Team announced a partnership with Open Standard on September 30, 2026, hours after Open USD (OUSD), a dollar-pegged stablecoin, went live with backing from Visa, Coinbase, Mastercard and Stripe. Businesses and developers can integrate OUSD through infrastructure provided by those companies, while the asset is available on Ethereum, Solana, Base and Tempo and has launched on Coinbase, Kraken and Uniswap. Open Standard says its network now spans more than 200 financial institutions, fintechs, banks and global businesses, up from more than 140 participating companies in late June. Its founding partners, including Visa, Coinbase, Mastercard, Stripe and Shopify, have committed more than $1 billion in near-term launch liquidity. OUSD is issued by Stripe’s Bridge, with reserves held at BlackRock, Lead Bank and BNY Mellon. Pi and Open Standard are exploring OUSD-created rewards and broader utility for Pi’s user ecosystem, but Pi has not specified eligibility, timing or mechanics, and has not confirmed native OUSD support on its blockchain.
