Bitcoin rose to $86,913, its highest level since Sept. 23, gaining 14.6% from its Sept. 15 low, according to a QCP report cited by PANews on Oct. 2. The rally came as 30-year U.S. Treasury yields reached 5.62% and 10-year yields briefly hit 5.29%, while gold posted its worst month of the year. Real yields increased 44 basis points in September, but breakeven inflation barely moved, indicating that markets were responding to stronger growth expectations, heavy Treasury supply and weak auctions rather than an inflation shock. Gold fell 8.5% in line with real-yield signals, while Bitcoin gained 12%. QCP characterized the move as concentrated capital flows into an asset supported by new regulatory catalysts and favorable technical conditions. Spot Bitcoin ETFs recorded inflows of $3.5 billion in August and $2.6 billion in September.
