Strategy bought 1,665 BTC in late September using proceeds from class A common-stock sales, while its STRC (Stretch preferred stock) issuance has remained paused since May. Peter Schiff said STRC’s recovery toward its $100 par value has not restored the funding channel, although Strategy reported a $5.02 billion reserve for preferred dividends and debt interest. The company also used common-stock proceeds to repurchase STRC and previously relied on cash to fund purchases, dividends and buybacks. Strategy Executive Chairman Michael Saylor highlighted STRC’s 9% 30-day historical volatility, below the 10% reading for SPY. Schiff expects Bitcoin to weaken if technology stocks retreat, while Strategy’s next Monday filing will show whether common-stock sales continue funding purchases.
