Coinbase has halted trading for five tokens: Idex (IDEX), Loopring (LRC), Omni Network (OMNI), Pirate Nation (PIRATE) and StaFi (FIS). The suspension applies across Coinbase Simple and Advanced Trade, Coinbase Exchange and Coinbase Prime, while customer balances remain accessible and can still be withdrawn. The move follows a separate decision this week to remove six non-USD trading pairs in a liquidity consolidation step, affecting LSETH-ETH, MINA-EUR, GRT-GBP, MASK-GBP, CHZ-USDT and CRO-USDT. Coinbase also widened its derivatives push in August, adding BRENT and WTI oil perpetual futures, launching perpetual futures (contracts without expiry) for wholesale customers in Australia on August 6, and scheduling US500 Equity Index perp-style futures for August 17. On the same date, trading in AZTEC (AZTEC-PERP) perpetual futures will be suspended around 13:00 UTC, with open positions set for automatic settlement based on the average index price over the prior 60 minutes and a zero funding rate (periodic payment between traders) for the final funding period.
