Solana Name Service said it will pause new .sol domain registrations on Aug. 17 to take an eligibility snapshot covering only names registered before the suspension. After the snapshot, users will be able to check whether they qualify for a new round of benefits or upgrades. The team expects .sns registrations to resume in mid-September and said further scheduling details will be announced later. SNS also warned users to avoid fake claim links and said it will not ask them to sign transactions or pay fees to claim new .sol domains.
