U.S. stocks were mixed midway through trading on Monday, with the Dow Jones index down 0.15% at 53,954.88, the Nasdaq off 0.18% at 26,645.53, and the S&P 500 up 0.03% at 53,954.88. Energy stocks led sector gains with a 3% rise, while real estate shares fell 1.4%. National Energy Services Reunited Corp shares gained more than 16% after the company posted quarterly earnings of 44 cents per share, ahead of the analyst consensus estimate (average Wall Street forecast) of 43 cents, and sales of $520.752 million, above the $446.971 million estimate. Socket Mobile surged 364% to $1.79 after announcing a North America distribution agreement with 3Eye Technologies for Apple-based scanning solutions. Bowman Consulting Group rose 55% to $42.28 after better-than-expected second-quarter results and news it will be acquired by Bernhard Capital Partners, while MarineMax climbed 46% to $52.03 after saying it will be acquired by Blackrock Infrastructure's Safe Harbor. On the downside, Sionna Therapeutics tumbled 92% to $4.24 after topline data (initial main trial results) from the PreciSION CF Phase 2a proof-of-concept trial (early study testing whether a treatment works) of SION-719 missed a key activity endpoint. Tenax Therapeutics fell 89% to $1.50 after saying its Phase 3 LEVEL trial of TNX-103 did not meet its primary or key secondary endpoints. Airsculpt Technologies dropped 42% to $2.92 after weaker-than-expected second-quarter sales and narrower FY26 sales guidance below estimates. In commodities, oil rose 3.2% to $80.68, gold fell 0.4% to $4,383.30, silver added 0.8% to $64.035, and copper gained 0.2% to $6.6030. European markets were mostly lower, while Asian markets closed higher. No major economic reports are scheduled for release today.
