Hong Kong equities closed broadly lower on Aug. 11, led by weakness in technology shares. The Hang Seng Index fell 284.67 points, or 1.1%, to 25,652.82, while the Hang Seng Tech Index dropped 95.04 points, or 1.93%, to 4,824.42. The China Enterprises Index, which tracks major mainland Chinese companies listed in Hong Kong, declined 93.74 points, or 1.09%, to 8,528.1, and the Red Chip Index slipped 20.92 points, or 0.5%, to 4,121.93.
