Oil shipments through the Strait of Hormuz have recovered to about 9 million barrels a day, U.S. Energy Secretary Chris Wright said, while broader regional crude flows including pipelines have risen to about 15 million barrels a day. The figures suggest pressure on oil supplies from the Iran war is easing, although U.S. crude prices have remained elevated near $83 a barrel. Wright also said the U.S. Strategic Petroleum Reserve, or SPR (emergency government oil stockpile), has fallen below 300 million barrels.
