Polar Power said it has generated about $7.9 million in revenue from the Pacific Islands since 2024, shipping 333 DC generators and solar-hybrid systems across Papua New Guinea, Fiji, Vanuatu, the Solomon Islands and Guam. The company also reported a current solar-hybrid backlog of about $670,000 in the Solomon Islands after a recent repeat order from a regional telecommunications customer. Polar framed the repeat business as evidence that its systems have demonstrated reliability and lower operating costs in the field, supporting a model in which trial deployments develop into larger standardized network rollouts. President and Chief Executive Officer Arthur D. Sams said the installed base is also drawing interest beyond telecom, including microgrids, UPS (battery-backed backup power), water pumping, air conditioning and EV charging. Polar said it believes those adjacent uses represent a larger market than telecommunications alone and that the Pacific Islands are emerging as both an underserved power market and a test bed for broader deployment.
