U.S. July CPI rises 3.4%, smallest annual gain since March

U.S. consumer inflation, measured by the CPI (consumer price index), rose 3.4% year on year in July on an unadjusted basis, matching market expectations. The reading was the smallest annual increase since March, according to a PANews report published on Aug. 12.
